Co Consider Presented by Donna Amaro FINAL WISHES It may seem disconcerting to some when older family members initiate conversations about their own demise. However, it should be viewed as an encouraging sign that the elders are willing to talk about their own passing, their plans for disposing of their property, and their funeral arrangements. Such candid discussion shows a desire to take charge of their lives. Countless studies point to the fact that negative attitudes and attempts to stifle talk of death are inappropriate for the elderly. Researchers also indicate that older people have less fear of death and approach it more openly than their younger counterparts.

Many older individuals feel more capable of facing death and accept it more peacefully than younger people might imagine. The subject of funerals is never easy to discuss. For the same reasons you write a will or buy life insurance. people feel that it is a good idea to prepare for the future and make their own, personal plans. At the time of an actual funeral, most decisions need to be made within a few hours.

But, by preplanning the service options, you can take your time and make the decisions in an unhurried and thoughtful way. At BIG SKY CREMATIONS, we can assist you in planning and coordinating all of the details of a funeral service. Located at 2 W. Main Street, East Helena, we can be reached at 406-227-2241 or 1-888-406-1666. Please visit our website at www.bigskyfunerals.com "We think in generalities, we live in detail.
